Climb aboard a canal boat for a dinner cruise of Amsterdam’s enchanting canals, departing from the Stadhouderskade at 20:00.
Upon arrival, your host(ess) and captain for the evening will welcome you with a drink and amuse bouche while they take your order for the starter and main course. After 30 minutes, set sail for a 2-hour cruise past the beautifully lit buildings, quaint canals, house boats, and bridges.
Heineken beer, house wine, and soft drinks are included in the price, and typical menu selections include a starter of tenderloin carpaccio with mature Beemster cheese, pine nuts and pumpkin seeds, loose-leaf lettuce, and balsamic syrup, or carpaccio of smoked salmon and halibut with loose-leaf lettuce, capers, lemon vinaigrette and dill mayonnaise, both served with white and wholewheat bread and garlic butter.
Typical mains include spring chicken fillet in a red wine gravy, or Italian style panga fillet marinated in sundried tomatoes, served with a vegetable tart, seasoned potatoes and vegetable salad. Round it off with a sweet dessert of milk chocolate bavarois and coulis of tangerine, or seasonal fruit in orange juice marinade and a soft apricot foam.
The night doesn’t have to end there. Your tour comes with complimentary entrance to the Holland Casino, located directly across the water from the landing dock, where you can try your luck on the roulette wheels, slot machines, black jack tables, and more.
