I would highly recommend Nepal Trekking. Nepal is the mountain kingdom and has lots of adventures activities. One of them we recently did organize a trip to Everest base camp trek. There is lots of question we hear that before doing the trek. We choose the early spring because to avoid the crowd. we had a guide and porter for a trek. We recommend you, people, to hire a guide, I believe that having a guide is not obligatory and law although I did see a few people, usually in pairs trekking alone and camping along the way so there is a way to do it without either.
It’s a hard trek and the one of the best Adventure trail in the world. And you’re doing a lot of hill climbing to achieve your dream. If you will not able to finish if you don’t hire a guide and porter its pretty much tough trek. it because of altitude sickness. The trails are good for the most part but there are parts where they get sketchy and busy due to the crazy traveler. I was got altitude sickness and guide help me to recover as fast they can. There was at least one time where my guide rescued me from a pretty interesting detour that was getting scarier. I proceeded and going back was suddenly not an option but the guided treatment and best experiences make our dream came true. After this, I would simply wait for the guide (who was tracking a slower trekker) to catch up. And this what I have to answer to the backpacker traveler Do I need a guide and a porter to hike to Everest Base Camp? Yes definitely you need but don’t get hurt yourself, you’re there for enjoy the view too.
If it wasn’t for the guide and porter I’m not sure I would have been alive. Because he was instrumental in getting me back to safety and check my condition. I strongly recommend insurance for this trek with the best company. For me, it was more than worth it. And the guide and porter are the best of that part.
The porters and guide made the hike much more pleasant than it would have been. I think the benefits that you hook up is all about the secure your health too.
