The easiest was to travel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem using public transportation, is to take bus number 480 from Terminal 2000. Once in Jerusalem, you can take the light train in order to arrive to the Old City. Here i explain how to do it:
TEL AVIV-JERUSALEM- BUS NUMBER 480
It departs from TERMINAL 2000, located in the intersection between Arlozorov and Namri St. To arrive here you can either take a bus or a taxi from the center of Tel Aviv. The bus stop is located outside of the train station. The trip lasts around 1 hour.
The bus arrives to Jerusalem’s Central Bus Station. Once you get there, exit the bus station through the main entrance – located in Jaffa Street- and crossing the street you will see the light train station. You have to take the train going to “ HEIL HAAVIR” direction ( you have to take the train that goes in the opposite direction of the bridge).
TRAIN TICKETS: you can buy it at the machines available at the train stop. You can either pay with cash or credit card.
Go down on the station called “CITY HALL” and walk towards the Old City (that you will see to your left once you go down from the train) until arriving to JAFFA GATE (it takes about 5 minutes) . This is our meeting point.
