Geographically Zanzibar hotels, most of them are found in stone town, north and south of Zanzibar.
From airport to stone town is 4 miles just 10 minutes by car
From airport to south region of Zanzibar is 55 miles, about 2 hours by car
From airport to north region is 40 miles, about 1 1/2 hours by car
95 percent of the roads are tamack roads and other are under renovation and others are under construction.
When you are inside Zanzibar the only mode of transportation is by road (car) and by ocean (boat) when you visit to different islands. Buses and mini buses are used depend on the number of the client in a group or wills of client. Normally i do not mix different clients in one car or boat except there is a need to do that.
There is a full security all the time so it is safe to travel at any time after arrival to Zanzibar.
