Duration: 6 -7 Hours

Batinah bash is an interesting day trip starting from Muscat in the early morning. Driving our vehicle towards west of Oman and our first stop will be at Amouage perfumes factory or at the Seeb Fish souq it will be up to your choice. In order to understand the past of the coastal village’s life in Oman a visit to this seaside market considered as a great way to do that. While if you are interested to know how is the manufacturing process of making one of the most expensive perfumes in the world you can choose a visit to Amouge Factory.

After that proceed towards Nakhl we will be driving through roads surrounded by date palms then we are having a tour at Nakhl Fort, which was built before more than 1500 years. The fort is located in a plam oasis, it contains more than one level and it has a museum and a mousqe. After that we are going to have a quick stop at the Al Thowarah Springs.

Wakan Village will be our next stop, it’s known as terrace farming. Wakan village is overlooking on the Wadi Mistal, it is at an altitude of 2,000 meters in the Western Hajar Mountains. It’s located in uphill on a narrow dirt track on a steep slope but because of my experience driving skills I can take on this track easily by using the 4WD.
