Meeting point : AL Fahidi Station Exit 3

 

It will be a walking tour for approx 2.5 hours to discover the less known face of the city. You will be able to explore the origin of Dubai, old residential neighbourhood, old souks and also the amazing Emirati culture.

Starting from Al Fahidi historical neighbourhood (Bastakiya), walking through the narrow streets and sand coloured houses you will be able to experience the life in the region years ago. While you will be in Bastakiya, you will visit the coffee museum to taste the Arabic coffee (Qahwa) and also learn about the amazing coffee culture.

After that you will visit the Dubai Museum, an old fort converted in museum, that gives a breathtaking illustration of Dubai before 20th century.

Lastly you will step into souks by taking an Abra (water boat) to cross the creek and experience the market culture of the desert. Walking in the narrow streets of souks and enjoy the hustle and bustle and check out the shops selling spices, souvenirs, perfumes, gold and silver.
