DAY 01

Medan - Tangkahan

After pick up at the airport, proceed to Tangkahan (about 3 hours).

Check-in at Homestay.

Begin with jungle treks to the Kupu Kupu Beach, the forest around the nature conservation area of Tangkahan. See elephant baths, hot springs, waterfalls until afternoon and then return to the inn for rest.

Dinner is available at the Lodge. Then, it's some free time and rest.

DAY 02

Visit Restoration Area Arround Leuser National Park

See the GLNP(Gunung Leuser National Park) restoration area, which is at least 1,100 hectares n Sei Betung, Halaban (500 hectares), Cinta Raja (300 hectares), and Bukit Mas (150 hectares) as managed by NGOs in cooperation with the Government forest department. During this visit, we can select which part of the area that we will be visiting and accordingly fix the time available before continuing onto visit the Nature School, also managed by NGOs.

DAY 03

Visit Nature School

The spirit of conservation must be instilled early. This is such that we can see and join with other students at Alam Leuser School who had earlier planted trees around their school and the Leuser area. Every day, these local champions learn about the importance of forest conservation, as local communities living together with the Leuser ecosystem area.
DAY 04

Back to Medan and small city Tour

Visit the Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni Catholic Church, the Maimon Palace, the Grand Mosque, Old Buildings/Kesawan Square at Medan.

Get dropped off at the airport.
