Day Trip in Normandy

I propose you a day trip in Normandy to explore de D-Day beaches through which memorials, sites and cemeteries we will remember the bravery of thousands of solders who lost their lives trying to put an end to the WWII.
This private guided tour permets you to visit Arromanches on Gold Beach, the German Gun Battery of Longue-sur-Mer. You will also drive to Omaha Beach where you will visit the "Omaha BeachMemorial Museum" and the American Cemetery. And finally I propose you to visit the Pointe du Hoc which cliff the rangers climbed under the fire from German solders lying in ambush at the top.

 

We leave Paris at 7:00 in the morning. The day starts on Gold Beach in Arromanches were in 11 days 220, 000 solders, 530, 000 tonnes of suppliers and 39, 000 vehicles landed at "Port Winston". According to your wishes we can visit one of the museums in Arromanches(more details in private).
From Arromanches we will drive to Longue-sur-Mer where the preserved german gun battery is the only one today to still be equipped with its guns from the period. After the lunch(in a local restaurant I will advise you) we will drive to Omaha Beach. To better understand why Omaha beach is also called the "Bloody beach" we will visit the Memorial Museum in Laurent-Sur-Mer and then the Normandy American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer. On this key memorial site we will pay honour to the 9, 387 solders who feel in combat.
Our last step during this private guided tour in Normandy before we will take the road back to Paris, will be the Pointe Du Hoc. Here 135 Rangers lost their lives trying to take the german artillery battery.
